Limited Lifetime Warranty & Instrument Information

NOTE: Please contact your authorized BilT International dealer or distributor regarding all warranty claims.

Warranty Coverage

Your BilT International instrument is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship when used under normal operating conditions for the lifetime of the original retail purchaser, subject to the limitations described below.

This warranty:

• Applies only to the original purchaser
• Is non-transferable
• Is valid only for instruments purchased new from an authorized BilT International dealer

Instruments sold as B-stock (factory seconds) are covered by a 90-day limited warranty.
Electronics and hardware are covered for six (6) months from the original date of purchase.
Finish is covered for thirty (30) days from the original date of purchase.

Warranty Registration

To validate this warranty, the original purchaser must submit a warranty registration to BilT International within ten (10) days of the original purchase date.

The original sales receipt must be retained as proof of purchase and is required for all warranty service requests.

Remedy

If an instrument is found to have a defect in materials or workmanship, BilT International will, at its sole discretion:

• Repair the instrument, or
• Replace the instrument with one of the same or most similar style and value, not exceeding the original purchase price

BilT International reserves the right to use materials and components available at the time of repair if original materials are no longer available.

This warranty covers the cost of labor and materials for all approved warranty repairs.

If an instrument is lost, destroyed, or damaged beyond repair while in the possession of BilT International for warranty service, it will be replaced with an instrument of similar type and value.

Authorized Service

Warranty service must be performed exclusively by:

• BilT International, or
• An authorized BilT International dealer or service provider

Any service, repair, or modification performed by unauthorized persons will void this warranty. BilT International shall not be liable for damage resulting from unauthorized work.

Limitations and Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

• Instruments with missing, altered, or tampered serial numbers
• Instruments modified after original shipment from BilT International
• Instruments not purchased from an authorized dealer
• Instruments with altered or falsified warranty registration

Time-Limited Components

• Electronics and hardware after six (6) months
• Finish after thirty (30) days

Maintenance and Setup

• Initial setup, adjustments, or routine maintenance
  (including truss rod adjustments, string changes, action, and intonation)

Normal Wear and Tear

• Frets, hardware plating, tuning machines
• Strings, saddles, nuts
• Pickguards and plastic components
• Cosmetic wear including scratches, dents, or finish aging

Finish and Cosmetic Conditions

• Natural variations in wood grain, color, or tone
• Cosmetic inconsistencies that do not affect functionality
• Finish wear, fading, checking, sinking, or discoloration after the 30-day period

Environmental and External Damage

• Damage caused by temperature or humidity changes
• Exposure to sunlight, moisture, sweat, or chemicals
• Warping, cracking, or splitting of wood due to environmental conditions

Misuse and Accidental Damage

• Abuse, neglect, improper operation
• Impact damage, drops, or accidents
• Strap button failure due to stress or misuse
• Theft, fire, or acts of nature

Additional Exclusions

• Cases and case hardware
• Shipping damage of any kind
• Freight or insurance costs to BilT International
• Unauthorized repair costs
• Charges where no defect is found
• Expedited or rush service fees

Limitation of Liability

BilT International assumes no liability for:

• Property damage resulting from product failure
• Loss of use, income, or business
• Any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages

This warranty is the sole and exclusive warranty provided by BilT International and replaces all other expressed or implied warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by law.

Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusion of certain damages, so these limitations may not apply to you.

How to Obtain Warranty Service

If your instrument requires warranty service:

1. Contact the authorized BilT International dealer where the instrument was purchased
2. If unavailable, contact an authorized BilT International dealer or distributor
3. Obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) before shipping

No instrument will be accepted without prior authorization. Packages without a clearly marked RMA may be refused.

Returns and Shipping

• The owner is responsible for all shipping and insurance costs to BilT International or an authorized service provider
• After service, the instrument will be returned with shipping and insurance prepaid

Upon receipt, BilT International or the authorized dealer will inspect the instrument and provide an estimated completion timeline.

General Terms

This warranty provides specific legal rights, which may vary by state.
No representative or individual is authorized to assume liability on behalf of BilT International beyond what is stated in this warranty.
